I ordered for my dad who is i construction he said this works real well so no complaints from me
This disk was so easy to use. Just go slow and keep the grinder guard on. I used this to carve out white oak wood to design a sailboat rudder. After carving out the general shape I used a belt and dual-action sander to clean up the wood. I saved a lot of time using this tool and the end result looked professional.
VERY effective. I was able to use this to shave down the diameter of some poles to fit the holes in my bar. It made extremely quick work of it.
if you are carving out wood with this... I have to say this because I usually dont write reviews, but this thing is the cats meow... the ease of using it was awesome.. I cant say enough about it. I used it for 3 hours straight and it did great... total Ive used it for about 7 hours and having sharpened it yet... so I would say if you are into carving or cutting (small) branches I would recommend.. I was cutting white oak and was like a hot knife through butter. I wasnt paid for this review I was just that impressed
Much easier to use than I thought it would be. It goes onto a small grinder that can be held in one hand which leaves the other hand free. I thought this might be dangerous but it only takes a minute to get comfortable with it. I will buy a backup as all chain saw blades will eventually dull and wear out. I love this thing
Ok so this thing is by far the coolest thing I have ever bought I used it to carve out an inset for my anvil to sit in the top of a stump then went and trimmed probably every tree branch within reach on my 21/2 acres of the property then got kicked off my neighbors property because well he had tree branches that needed trimming too! Does it look completely dangerous yes! Is it dangerous? Depends on your level of common sense. But even if you lose a finger or 3 it will be worth the money because this thing is a lot of fun!
This is a tool that will need practice to get good with it. Hang on to angle grinder tightly and don't try to cut off more than you should. Wants to run to the left, so start gently on the left and move to the right.
If you have a project that you need to hog out a lot of wood this works great. It does require a little skill with power tools and safety equipment is a must though. This is not a tool for a novice working with a side grinder for the first time. watch some videos and be sure you understand the principles of the tool before trying. That being said I really like this blade.
It does what you would expect a chain saw blade to do but hold on with both hands because it could get away easily!
this bald works great. have already carved a couple of burl bowls and it is going strong. will buy again
Works great chews up small stumps quickly. Needs a very small round file to sharpen. Would be nice if one was included.
Worked fine. Instructions should be a little more specific about keeping everything in one piece after little clips are pulled.
The best tool I have ever used to cut or carve with. had five 14 inch diameter hardwood stumps that I could not cut out with my chainsaw. I installed this tool in my grinder, and I couldnt believe how quickly it cut out the stumps below ground level and allows me to mow over them without my mower blades hitting them. The cutter stayed sharp after all this cutting. It is a dangerous tool, but you need to remember to install it in the direction arrows indicate, to match the direction your grinder turns. Also, hold the tool firmly using both hands. I also wore a full face shield to protect my eyes and face. I took the stumps a layer at a time. Highly recommended.
these are awesome i was cutting brush up to id say almost 3" diam
I use it to prune bushes. It makes quick work of branches up to about an inch and a half.
